Our chapter consists of hundreds of alumni, family and friends of The University of Alabama in the San Antonio area. Our chapter originally started as a group of local alumni who met at a local sports bar to watch the football games. As the years went by, we found we had a greater desire to help strengthen the relationship between the alumni, students and friends in the San Antonio area. This desire grew even more when we became an official chapter for The University of Alabama Alumni.

One of the ways in which we strive to strengthen our relationship with the alumni and students is by offering a local scholarship to students in the San Antonio area who are planning on attending the university. We also try to promote the university to the local area students by going out to the local high schools and educating the students about The University of Alabama. The scholarships we offer are derived from the local dues and also from other events such as the raffle we hold during the game viewing parties. During the football season we meet at a local sports bar for our  game viewing parties and during half-time we raffle off university memorabilia.
